Alexandre Nappey is specialized in intellectual property law and digital copyright law. He assists companies (large international corporations, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as startups) in protecting, managing, enhancing, and defending their immaterial assets, particularly those in the digital universe: brands, domain names, software, data bases, anti-counterfeiting efforts, e-commerce, e-reputation, personal data, big data, online advertizing, and computer projects.
He began his career as an intellectual property counsel. He created and ran the multimedia department of a major law firm for twelve years. After four years of experience in the leading European business law firm, he moved on in August 2015, and joined the Clairmont law firm as a partner.
Alexandre Nappey is also an expert who has been accredited by the World Intellectual Property Organization and by the Czech Arbitration Court since 2006.
He teaches information technologies law at the CEIPI and at the Université de Strasbourg. He has conducted training sessions in intellectual and digital property at the EEPI and at the École des avocats (school of law) since 2005.
He regularly speaks in conferences in France and abroad. He has published numerous articles in law reviews and on websites.
He has contributed to the media and communications volume of the encyclopedic legal resource LAMY (Wolters Kluwer publisher), and co-authored the book entitled Le .fr, une zone de confiance, published in 2006.
